You can join the Facebook Gaming Level Up program to unlock features and monetize or earn money from live streaming on Facebook. Level Up is only available in certain regions, if you are in Malaysia and eligible for the Level Up program if you:

To explain how this process works, let me tell you a short story.

  • Create a Gaming Video Creator Page that has been active for at least 14 days, with an admin who is 18 or older
  • Have at least 100 followers on their Page
  • Stream gaming content, with game tagged, for at least 4 hours across 2 of the preceding 14 days (only tag a game if you will be playing it, or it may impact your eligibility)

Step 1 – Sign Up

If you are a first-time creator, create a page first and give your Facebook Page a unique name.

To update your Page at any time, click the three dot icon next to the “Share” button, then select “Edit Page Info”.

Step 3 – Go Live

Starting your stream Connect with Facebook friends, other gamers and new fans who share your passion for gaming.

How to start streaming

  • Go to fb.gg/streamer select Create Live Stream. Under Post, choose where you want your live stream to appear (such as your Gaming Video Creator Page that you manage, not your profile Page).
  • Copy and paste the server URL and/or stream key into the settings of your streaming software. (Select “Enable persistent stream key” to make future streaming easier). Note: Please don’t share your stream key. Anyone who has access to it can stream video to your post.
  • Use your software to start streaming. You will see a preview screen of your stream on Facebook where the server URL and stream key are displayed.
  • Name your stream, identify the game you’re playing, and add a description so viewers know what to expect from your stream. The final step? Click Go Live!
